What is the required closing time for positions before major news events on standard accounts?

To maintain fair trading conditions and protect both trader performance and firm capital during volatile periods,
the following rules apply around high-impact news events (red folder news on ForexFactory):

• All open positions must be closed at least 5 minutes before the scheduled release of a major economic news event.

• No new positions may be opened within 5 minutes prior to the event.

• Trading may resume 5 minutes after the news release.
